Margaret Paul
I have lived in Kawerau for 53 years. My working life consisted of 14 years at the Kawerau Maternity Hospital - now Mountain View - and the 32 years as a practice nurse at the Tarawera Medical Centre. I enjoyed travel - visiting many interesting places including “woofing” in a Tuscan Vinyard three consecutive years. Travel on 2 wheels is another joy - my mad mountain biking days have passed but road riding is still possible. For 10 consecutive years I organised a relay team from my work colleagues, to ride the Taupo challenge-each rider doing 40kms around Lake Taupo. Gardening is a pleasure, also watching all the different birds in the large trees in my garden. To help our people stay in their homes that are full of memories is a wonderful thing and KADAP is committed to doing this and has succeeded the past 10 years.
