Our Volunteers
Did you know that around 21.5% of New Zealanders volunteer, and their contributions are worth an estimated $4 billion each year!* Volunteering is all about giving your time to help others—whether it’s for an individual, a group, or a community—without expecting payment. But it’s not just about giving; volunteers also gain a lot in return, like personal growth, social connections, career experience, and even better physical health.

We have a dedicated team of police-vetted volunteers who provide a range of support to KADAP members. Many of our volunteers are also members themselves—giving help where they can and receiving support when they need it. For example, someone might need help with tree pruning or stacking firewood, but they can drive another member to the supermarket or make tea at our monthly meeting.
